Before buying the product download and test the X-Treme Banner Rotator FREE AS3 version. The free banner rotator may have some limitations and don’t include the application source file, but you can easily configure it through the XML file.
Opens with Flash CS3, Flash CS4, Flash CS5 or higher ( Actionscript 3.0 AS3 ). Readme file and comments inside the xml file included in the package.
Hello, I am in the process of testing the free version of your rotating banner but I cannot find the XML file to configure it. I looked in the plugin folder and only see .txt files and a .php file. I would like to simply rotate text with a transparent background. Is that doable?
If you want to install and the WordPress plugin on your site follow the download the plugin link from the product description and you’ll find everything there.

I am having an issue with this slider on a client site. The actual slider looks nothing like what is shown on here and I am not too familiar on how to change particular settings, if that is the issue. The index.html shows something completely different.
Please let me know what may be the issue.

I have the free WordPress rotator installed. Just upgraded to the Commercial License. Went into the cPanel to swap out the swf files, but it looks like they are named differently and have different folders & components in each. Please let me know exactly what to swap out for what. Thank you.

I downloaded your free banner for WP. When I go into the banner-content.xml file and change the button skin to the skin 2, everything changes properly except that the timer is not below the ‘nextpage’ and ‘prevpage’ buttons. Instead, it’s in between the ‘nextpage button’ and the ‘fullpage’ button. How do I fix this so that it’s below the other buttons?
Also, it looks from this website here that you make it possible to change these features without directly editing xml. Am I wrong? I am new at doing any work with websites. Do I have to edit xml in order to change the buttons and the template of this banner?

In the banner-content.xml in the timer tag you have the X and Y coordinates attributes. Change them as you like. For the timer to be below buttons make X = 0 and Y = 30.
You have to edit the xml in order for a change to take effect. The online example is just for demo purposes of the banner rotator properties.

I am using the wordpress plug-in. I have modified the content page to only include one picture. I also deleted all pics from the images file so only my new pic exists…but the rotator still only shows the original sample when I run on my web site. What am I doing wrong? I installed per instructions…I can modify width and height…but still the sample flash video. Please help. Thank you.

I have purchased this banner rotator. Everything worked fine except the skin 2 for the menu. When I am changing them to skin 2 foe example:

I have downloaded and edited this banner as I wanted. I have put all the files in the wp-content and localy when I run the banner.swf everything works right with all my modifications. When I put the [xtreme-banner-rotator] in my wordpress page I loaded the default banners.
So I have deleted the default pictures and replaced them with my pictures. When I run the banner.swf file from the folder it works great with all modifications. From the local website done with wordpress it is loading the old pictures that I actually deleted from the banner-images folder.
Can anyone help me please

HI sorry it was my mistake. Actually the banner is working fine. On Firefox 5.0 it is not and since I test with firefox I though it is not working properly.

I get an error now that says “Please install flash player.” on Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera, and Chrome. This just started happening a few days ago by itself and previous the banner rotator worked fine. Any ideas? Thanks!
I figured it out. You CANNOT have the “JavaScript to Footer” plugin installed and activated on your WordPress site.
I purchased X-Treme Banner Rotator today so I would be able to remove the flashtuning.com logo. Although I have uploaded all of the new files, I still have the flashtuning.com logo visible. How do I remove this?
I deleted the free files and replaced them with the purchased files. now it is not working at all.

Hi – I am trying to use the xtreme banner rotator in a text widget – which is where my site’s banners are loaded from. I add in the shortcode [xtreme-banner-rotator] but it doesn’t work. Just shows this as text in the header of my page. Is there a fix for this, or is it not possible to use it in a text widget?

It should work like any other Flash ( swf ) banners as long as your widget allows running Flash objects.
I love this plugin but i’m new to using wp. Can i replace my normal wordpress header with youre flashbanner? And if so.. how?

I bought this xml and I trying first thing I did was open up fla file frame one to view the code so I can taylor it to my needs and it does not have setting to hide buttons or change example or anything. where can I find this in all the maze of files and layers and code.

That depends on what you are using to load the swf.
If you take a look at the html file in the archive you’ve downloaded, when you bought the component, all the code needed to load the component is there (starting with the loading of the js file).

Hello,
I just bought the complete download, and wanted to upgrade the wordpress plugins I had installed. Swapped out the xtreme carousel swf file with no problem, and took off the logo as expected.
Tried to do the same with the xtreme banner rotator, and can’t find the right file. The wordpress plugin has a file called banner.swf that the instructions say to swap, but none of the banner rotator files in the bundle have the same name. How do I go about upgrading this tool?

Is there a way I can pass in wmode=’transparent’? I have some menus directly above my flash, and the menus always drop behind the flash movie in IE. I beleive that wmode=’transparent’ will help me. Right now, it is always set to ‘window’, and I cannot get around it. I did purchase this because it looked great, but alas, I am stuck.

Just curious–
Is there a limit to the width of the banner (and carousel) I am trying to set the width to 720 pixels, and haven’t been able to do it. Ends up chopping off on the right side of the images.
Also, do you have any detailed documentation prepared beyond what’s on the wordpress plugins and the readme files? I do OK when I have some instructions, but muddle along when I have to figure things out on my own.
By the way–tried to buy the bundle today, but PayPal said it wouldn’t take my account (no linked bank account, I suspect). Getting that straightened out so I’ll be buying when my account is confirmed in 2-3 days. Great tools.

Hi Jeff,
When resizing our components you have to keep in mind that, although editing the xml files can alter the component size within the flash area, the flash area in the browser is controlled by html tags and their parameters.
Inside your html file, look for the code that imports the swf and identify the width/height properties. Those should be modified to resize the swf area.
We don’t really have more detailed documentation, but you can email us at any time with your questions.

When I press on the banner a picture I always go to the same page… while I have set the link different. It always shows ;
/wp-content/flashtuning/xtreme-banner-rotator/#
What do I need to do to redirect it to the right page.

I suggest to test the banner, with the unmodified banner-content.xml file, and after that if it works (it should), change the link attribute value with yours. Maybe you forgot to close a quote.

Sorry, but you will need to modify the plugin to provide this kind of functionality (using the xml parameter, load a different xml file depending on the client’s pc date).
